Serving Our Community: Delta Church Helps with Sunbury’s Sizzle and Sounds Event

At Delta Church, we believe faith should make a real difference — not just on Sundays. So when the City of Sunbury reached out for help setting up Sizzle and Sounds, an annual summer event on the Sunbury Square, our answer was simple: Yes!


Located just one block from the Square, we love being part of this close-knit community. Whether it’s worship, outreach, or lending a hand for local events, we see every opportunity as a chance to live out what it means to follow Jesus in our town. We often say at Delta Church that we’re not just in Sunbury — we’re for Sunbury. Serving at Sizzle and Sounds was one small way we could live that out.

Our team gathered on the Friday night before the event and helped set up fencing, trash cans, lights, and anything else the Sizzle and Sounds team needed. Not only was it fun to do this as a team, but we were able to meet the incredible people that are committed to this event and work so hard behind the scenes to make Sizzle and Sounds happen.
